Who We Are
Dare to Dream is a nonprofit organization in Birmingham, AL, dedicated to empowering young girls ages 5-18. Through mentorship, education, and enrichment programs, we provide a safe space for girls to develop confidence, leadership skills, and a vision for their future. Our mission is to inspire and equip the next generation of young women with the tools they need to dream big, break barriers, and achieve success in all aspects of life. From summer programs to community service initiatives, Dare to Dream is committed to shaping confident, resilient, and empowered young leaders.

Current Programming:
Pathways to Success

Dare to Dream’s Pathways to Success program empowers girls ages 13–18 in Birmingham by providing career readiness training, mentorship, and barrier removal support. Participants engage in workshops on resume writing, interview skills, financial literacy, and workplace communication, paired with mentorship and career exposure activities such as networking and job shadowing. The program’s overall goal is to equip girls with the skills, confidence, and resources needed to pursue higher education and meaningful careers, overcome barriers related to poverty, and build a foundation for long-term personal and professional success. This program is sponsored by Weyerhauser, giving fund.
